Merit Health Wesley Welcomes Scott Buckner, M.D.

Hattiesburg - Merit Health Wesley welcomes internal medicine physician Scott Buckner, M.D., to the medical staff’s hospitalist team.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Buckner attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa for his undergraduate degree in biology, graduating magna cum laude. He then earned his medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, where he also completed his residency training in internal medicine. Dr. Buckner has been practicing for the last three years at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
