Merit Health Wesley Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Hattiesburg - Merit Health Wesley welcomes Tammy Schramm, CPA, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Schramm comes to Merit Health Wesley from Grandview Medical Center, a 402-bed hospital in Birmingham, AL, where she has served as assistant CFO since 2016. Prior to that time, Tammy served as the director of financial operations for St. Vincent’s Health System. Throughout her career, she has served in a number of financial positions, including serving as senior treasury analyst at Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, MD.

“In her time as interim CFO, Tammy has earned the respect and support of those who have worked with her,” said Matthew Banks, chief executive officer. “I am confident her financial leadership will be an asset to our team.”

Schramm is a certified public accountant (CPA) and earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Mississippi University for Women. Currently, she is pursuing her master's in management health care from Vanderbilt University.
